ARCHES is committed to utilizing renewable resources to produce hydrogen with the objective of transitioning to clean energy to fuel the regional economy, while prioritizing economic growth, national and global leadership in innovation and workforce development.

ARCHES conducted a Statewide RFP for renewable clean hydrogen projects in 2022 and selected a set of H2 projects that were proposed to DOE as the foundation for California’s H2Hub and Ecosystem. 

ARCHES continues to grow and evolve and to capture the many ongoing opportunities, including through an open rolling RFP for any new hydrogen projects to join our Ecosystem.

We also recognize that creating a sustainable, thriving ecosystem doesn’t rely only on projects; it requires partnerships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to enable the functionality of the whole marketplace by providing the equipment for creation, distribution, and use of hydrogen. In line with ARCHES’ principles, our goal is also to boost communities statewide, with a focus on communities adjacent to ARCHES projects to ensure that careers, health, economic and community benefits are shared across all sectors and built collaboratively with ARCHES’ partners.
