California’s renewable hydrogen hub officially launches →

Technical Volume

ARCHES remains firmly committed to transparency as we work to implement the first of its kind hydrogen hub within California. To uphold this commitment, we are sharing the Technical Volume document, which was initially submitted as part of our application to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and outlines ARCHES’ original strategy for developing the hydrogen hub. Since its submission in 2023, ARCHES has collaborated closely with the DOE and community partners to refine our approach, ensuring that the specific needs of California’s communities are prioritized throughout the project’s rollout.

The document highlights ARCHES’ potential to establish a sustained hydrogen marketplace across California, providing jobs, resources and benefits to many underserved communities throughout the state. Through a true hub approach, ARCHES aims to unite a diverse set of partners to improve the lives of Californians statewide.
